As Christmas approached, Gary realized that it was time to add one more “wife.” He was driving around the streets at night looking for another woman when he saw a lady walking by in the night. He stopped the car beside her and made a suggestive comment to her.

Lisa was nineteen years old. She was on her way to a friend’s house when the stylish Cadillac Coupe DeVille came to a stop beside her. The lewd comment put her off, and she shouted that she wasn’t a prostitute. The man’s tone suddenly softened, and he asked if he could give her a ride.

Lisa was startled at the sudden change in the man’s behavior. He apologized immediately and said that he would even buy her a meal. He offered her a ride to Atlantic City. Lisa was surprised and accepted excitedly. Gary slipped something in her wine, and it wasn’t long before she was completely unconscious.

A few hours later, Lisa awoke in a cold, damp basement with two other women. Josefina and Sandy filled Lisa in on the story, and the three women wondered how Gary would ever fit seven more women in the tiny room. All three had decided that if one of them were able to escape, they would immediately send help.

More than a week had passed, and the three women had been subjected to rape and torture on and off. One day, Gary returned from his regular nightly trips with another woman. She was to be his fourth victim. Deborah Dudley was twenty-three years old and just didn’t want to go down without a fight.
